A living will is a legal document that lays out your wishes for when you can no longer make decisions for yourself. Its name is a bit of a misnomer — it doesn’t have to be used only if you’re terminally ill, and it can specify any kind of medical treatment that you’d like to opt out of (or decide not to opt in to). -You are terminally ill or have a serious illness and want to be sure that your wishes are followed

-You have a disability that makes it difficult to communicate your wishes, such as advanced Alzheimer’s or ALS

2) Who will choose where you will be treated?

3) Do you want to be kept alive on a ventilator or by artificial means?

4) If you are mentally incapable of making decisions, who should make them for you?
